The material ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer), which is known among other things for its enormous durability, low intrinsic weight, high light and ultraviolet transmittance or chemical resistance, is used in the architectural field as a membrane construction.

For projects such as the IGY Centre in Budweis, Northpoint City in Singapore or the Allegiant Stadium in the US state of Nevada, these films were equipped with high-tech coatings from Baumgartenberg that allow variable shading and are now in outdoor use for more than 30 long-lasting years.
