After more than 14 years at the helm of Hueck Folien GmbH, CEO Dr Martin Bergsmann will hand over the reins to his successor, Dr Christoph Steger, on 30 September 2025. The handover is taking place in order to initiate the next stage of development for Hueck Folien during a successful growth phase. ‘We express our sincere thanks to Dr. Martin Bergsmann for his outstanding achievements and tireless commitment,’ says DI Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Leading brand in three core markets
Under the leadership of Dr Martin Bergsmann, Hueck Folien developed into an international industry leader in all three core markets: security, labeling and design. The focus on today's core markets and the top market position achieved in all three markets, sales growth, internationalisation with an increase in the export quota from under 50 to 76 per cent outside the DACH region, the establishment of a sales office in Hong Kong and many product innovations are among the defining successes of his time as CEO. Even in challenging times, the company continued to invest in its location to secure growth and future viability. The most recent example is the construction of a new production hall with a new vapour deposition plant at the headquarters in Baumgartenberg. The investment for this amounts to 8.6 million euros.
Dr Martin Bergsmann's strategic focus was on positioning the company as a top employer and apprenticeship provider in the region, as well as on its pioneering role in sustainability. In addition, Dr Bergsmann set ambitious targets early on, including the goal of achieving carbon-neutral production at the Baumgartenberg site by 2035. ‘Hueck Folien is ideally positioned to continue growing successfully in the future. Together with a great team, we have been able to achieve a great result and strengthen Hueck Folien’s market position in the long term,’ said Dr Martin Bergsmann.
